Stars: Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron, Chris Hemsworth
Director: Rupert Sanders
Plot: The Evil Queen (Theron) successfully sucks the youth and beauty out of her rivals, until her banished stepdaughter, Snow White (Stewart), emerges as her most serious threat.
Why we're game: Snow White has never been hotter — dueling project Mirror Mirror(March 16) features Julia Roberts as the famed Evil Queen. The grittier Huntsman, with Theron's full menace, looks ever badder. And Stewart battling in armor rather than pining after her vampire lover? Heaven.
Prometheus and The Avengers also got a mention. See it under the cut.
Stars: Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans
Director: Joss Whedon
Plot: After beating up baddies (and filling the box-office coffers) in four separate movies, Iron Man (Downey), Captain America (Evans) and Thor (Hemsworth) come together to lead a superhero dream team to fight evil Norse god Loki (Tom Hiddleston).
Why we're game: Sometimes more is just awesome. Why have one superhero saving the day when you can have six, led by the always-hilarious Downey?
Stars: Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron
Director: Ridley Scott
Plot: Rapace leads a team of space explorers to discover the origins of mankind, but they end up unleashing forces that could destroy all humanity. Gulp.
Why we're game: Rapace looks to rock a new generation in the way that Sigourney Weaver did in Scott's 1979 sci-fi hit, Alien. It doesn't matter that we don't know who or what the aliens are this time — that discovery is part of the fun.
