"I had no idea there was such an urgent need for films about Snow White. Hopefully, the public's hunger will be sated for years to come.Usually, when these topical clusters happen, at least one film turns out to be fairly good. (Such inspirational fare for all the little girls at home; moms with daughters who see this might want to hide the family broadsword.)" Rupert Sanders: Have you? Like Shaft?" io9: "This movie makes us think about Eighties fantasy flicks like Willow and Beastmaster, Labyrinth, Dark Crystal — did you revisit a lot of these films?" RS: "I didn’t actually. I actually tried to, but I don’t know, they belong to a different era.
